About Belizabeth Guerrero

Hi there! I’m Belizabeth Guerrero, a Spanish illustrator and author. Drawing has always been my great passion and what inspires me the most is life itself, but also the people that surrounds me, the places I visit, the music, films, TV series, books I like… I really can’t help to capture what I perceive and feel from the things that inspire me and translate them into the canvas, so when I create an illustration is like treasuring those emotions or moments in my own way.

Although I graduated in English Philology at the University of Alicante, my passion for art and being self-taught led me to start my career as an artist. Since then, I’ve worked on different picture book projects, created illustrations for products, ads, and book covers both in Spain and in England, where I lived for more than five years.

My debut as both author and illustrator came in 2019 with Perlas de Sirena, a magical picture book that tells the legend of the mermaid of Saint Ives, a tale of sailors, pirates, love, and adventures that reveals the true origin of pearls. In 2022 I published my second book, Ruby, la pequeña vampiresa, a tender story that delicately explores the topic of bullying and celebrates the beauty of being different. Alongside my own projects, I have also had the joy of illustrating stories by other authors, such as Nolito ¡Cuidado! by Moruena Estríngana.

I truly love storytelling, creating characters, worlds, and stories are my favorite things to do, and children’s books in particular are the most natural way for me to capture everything I want to share through my art.

I am really enjoying my experience as a seller, to have the opportunity to turn my illustrations into products and to create something special that could make someone happy it´s fantastic. It feels really special when I received the feedback from the people who have purchased something from my shop, I am really grateful and it means the world to me if I can bring you joy or value through my creations ♡
